PINCKNEYVILLE PUBLIC INFRASTURCTURE 1997 The City of Pinckneyville has invested over $10 million in acquisition of industrial properties, state of the art water and sewage treatment facilities, natural gas, water, and sewer delivery lines, and roadway improvements in support of economic development. |

PINCKNEYVILLE
CORRECTIONAL FACILITY 1998 Opening in October 1998, The Pinckneyville Correctional Facility is an adult male medium security correctional facility owned and operated by the Illinois Department of Corrections. The construction of the state of the art facility cost $73 million, employs 480, with an estimated $30 million payroll. |

ILLINOIS
FISH FARMERS CO-OP 1999 The IFFC is a USDA Farmers Cooperative that demonstrates Illinois' significant investment in the aquaculture industy. The IFFC was publicly funded with $12 million by the State of Illinois to create a sustainable aquaculture industry in Illinois. Pinckneyville is the epicenter of this exciting new industry. The IFFC is in final design stages for a 50,000 sq ft. state of the art, multi-species, processing plant in Pinckneyville's industrial park. The City of Pinckneyville and the State of Illinois were development partners in the project. |

CONTEMPRI
INDUSTRIES 1999 To keep pace with its rapidly growing market demand, Contempri Industries significantly expanded its Pinckneyville Manufacturing plant with the construction of 33,000 sq. ft. addition to their production area, road improvements, inventory and rolling stock in a multi million dollar expansion project creating and retaining 70 jobs. |

M.U.M.S. 1999 Matsushita Universal Media Services, LLC of America is a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Panasonic Disc Services. The joint venture involved an $80 million expansion of an existing CD replicating plant in Pinckneyville. The expansion retained 400 jobs and created 500 new jobs by retrofitting and expanding the existing plant. The end result is a world class, state of the art DVD replicating facility. |

AMEREN
2000 Ameren completed phase I of a multi million dollar, natural gas fired electrical generating facility taking strategic advantage of Pinckneyville's unique confluence of major electrical transmission lines and natural gas lines. Phase II is scheduled for construction in the fall of 2000. |

REND
LAKE COLLEGE 2001 Rend Lake College recently announced plans to construct a new satellite campus in Pinckneyville's East Industrial Park. The new campus is scheduled to open in 2001 and provide workforce training and educational opportunites in a state of the art building that architecturally compliments their next door neighbor, Craig Williams Creative. |
