City Departments
A variety of municipal services are provided by the City of Pinckneyville. Here you will find the services offered by each department. Our dedicated and professional staff are always willing and able to provide you with assistance and information .

  • City Clerk - Provides general information regarding the community and surrounding area. Gas, Water, and Sewer Utility billing, collection and service requests are handled in this office.

  • City Parks - Recreation for the community including a swimming pool and home to the Perry County Fair, as well as two annual shows sponsored by the American Thresherman Association, Inc. Camping facilities are available. Fishing is permitted at the City Lake.

  • Economic Development - Coordinates Economic Development activities in public and private sectors by planning, evaluating proposals, making referrals, packaging public incentives, and managing municipal industrial/commercial properties.

  • Fire Department - Provides both city and rural fire protection; staffed by a full time Fire Chief and a volunteer force of 25. The City has an excellent ISO rating of six.

  • Police Department - Provides modern law enforcement, protection, communications, traffic, public health and safety services twenty-four hours a day

  • Street Department - Maintenance of streets and sidewalks, and assistance with leaves and downed tree limbs.
  • Utility Department - Maintenance and installation of gas, water, and sewer lines and services.
