Mayor - August Kellerman

Mayor August Kellerman began serving the city April 17th, 2007. He is a lifelong resident of Pinckneyville and has been self-employed since 1975 in Kellerman Masonry business. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1964 - 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Mayor Kellerman feels he is an honest, dedicated, and hard working individual which makes him a good fit as Mayor.
Mayor Kellerman is the Commissioner of Public Affairs and has supervision and direction over the following departments:
City Attorney, Planning Commission, Civil Defense, Library Board, Economic Development, and general supervision over all departments and officers of the city.
Commissioner of Accounts and Finance – Leonard Heisner
Commissioner Heisner was sworn into office on May 9, 2010 as the Commissioner of Accounts and Finance.
As Commissioner of Accounts and Finance, he has charge of and supervision over the following officers and municipal functions and services:
City Clerk, City Treasurer, All financial records and accounts of the City, and care and maintenance of the City Hall Building
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety – Kevin B. Hicks
The Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, Kevin Hicks, was unanimously appointed on January 10, 2011.
Commissioner Hicks is a lifelong resident of Pinckneyville and local business owner of the largest gun store in Southern Illinois, Hicks Trading Station, managing the family business for 35 years. He graduated from Greenville College in 1974 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Recently, he resigned his post on the Pinckneyville Police and Fire Merit Board in order to take his position on the City Council.
He plans to work closely with the other council members and Mayor to help the city of Pinckneyville grow, prosper, and to keep it the safe community we know and love.
The Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, Kevin B. Hicks was sworn in on January 11, 2011 and has charge and supervision over the following departments:
Fire Department, Police Department, Building Inspections and issuance of permits for construction and repairs, Health Board, Regulation of vehicle traffic
Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements – Sam Fulk
The Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements has charge and supervision over the following departments:
Street Department, Construction, repair and maintenance of all streets, alleys, bridges, and sidewalks owned by the city, Street lighting, Supervision over the installation and maintenance of telephone, light and power utility facilities, Issuance of permits for work involving excavations in any street or alley, Care and maintenance of City cemetery, Traffic control, Garbage and refuse collection and disposal, Storm Water Drainage
Commissioner of Public Property – David Stone
The Commissioner of Public Property, David Stone was elected April 17, 2007. He is a lifelong Pinckneyville resident and sees this job as commissioner as a great challenge after working in Southern Illinois Industry for 33 years. Commissioner Stone feels his efforts as Commissioner are focused on an improved economy through economic development and feels that we must carefully maintain those strengths that the city already possesses. Commissioner Stone has charge and supervision over the following departments:
Construction, repair and maintenance of all municipal buildings except City Hall, Water department, Sewer Department, City reservoir, All recreational equipment not under the jurisdiction of the Park Board, Natural gas utility, City swimming pool
